Welcome to Oriel 2Gleddau

Oriel 2Gleddau translated from Welsh to English is the Gallery of the 2 Cleddau rivers and what better name for a gallery situated where those 2 rivers merge into the haven at Milford Haven which is also Britain’s 3rd largest energy  port.

Oriel 2Gleddau is situated in the well known Breton House in Charles Street which has retained many of its old features. Milford Haven was once a thriving, bustling town where people would travel from far afield to visit the exquisite bridal shop in Breton House which was run by the  late Ruth Etherington, along with other distinctive shops in its long main shopping street.

Croeso i Oriel 2Gleddau

Agorwyd Oriel 2Gleddau ar ddechrau mis Medi eleni heb unrhyw ddathliad sef rhai balwns tu allan oherwydd niferoedd covid yn codi yn yr ardal. Serch hynny, fedrwch teimlo’n saff wrth gerdded trwy y drysau gan fod pob rheol yn cael ei dilyn i gadw pawb yn saff.

Dewiswyd yr enw Oriel 2Gleddau ar ol yr afonydd sydd yn bwydo i mewn i Aberdaugleddau. Yma, yn y brif stryd mae lleoliad yr oriel yn adeilad enwog o’r enw Ty Breton.

Bu Ty Breton yn enwog iawn yn eu amser dan Ruth Etherington sydd bellach ddim gyda ni ond mae’r atgofion o’r siop ddillad dal yn gryf yn yr ardal. Fe welwch amrywiaeth o waith yn yr oriel gan cynnwys crochenwaith, gwaith gwydr, resin, gwaith coed a mwy. Gobeithio, bydd rhywbeth i blesio pawb.
